Are you ready for Chökor Düchen?

We are fast approaching this auspicious merit-multiplying day. It occurs on the fourth day of the sixth Tibetan lunar month.

For seven weeks after his enlightenment, Buddha did not teach. Finally, encouraged by Indra and Brahma, he turned the Wheel of Dharma for the first time, at Sarnath, by teaching the ‘Four Noble Truths’

This year we have the great fortune of H.E. Ling Rinpoche’s attendance for some of the events. The main events will take place in a big tent and we hope to welcome 200 people!

Join us at Nalanda

At Nalanda, we also aim to have a meaningful Chökhor Düchen day. We organise a number of events as you can see in the schedule, and you are invited to all of them :).

H.E. Ling Rinpoche will still be here from the retreat that happened just the weekend before. He will attend some part of the events, if his schedule allows!

Chökor Düchen Schedule

Schedule for Tuesday, 9th of July:

05:30 — 08:00 Mahayana precepts followed by Ganden Lha Gyama
10:30 — 12:00 Teaching on Chökor Düchen
12:30 – 13:30 Lunch. Please reserve here if you like to join us for lunch!
14.30 — 15.45 Animals liberation
17:00 — 18:00 Chanting the names of Manjushri
19:00 — 21:30 Guru Puja

If you would like to contribute towards extensive offerings for this holy day and Puja, click on the Donate button, selecting “Chökor Düchen” in the drop-down menu and then specifying the names for the special dedication.

Please note, the final day for donation would be Sunday(07 July), to process the dedications, go shopping, nicely arrange the altar prior to the Puja and so forth.
